Parker Young is delighted to be supporting our well known, privately owned FMCG client in the search for a commercially sharp, relationship-driven Senior Business Manager, to head up their Foodservice business.

This role goes beyond managing a customer portfolio — it’s about becoming the commercial heartbeat of a respected FMCG business with a long history of quality, pride and ambition. You’ll take the lead on high-value foodservice relationships, set the commercial agenda for your channel and work cross-functionally to ensure the business continues to deliver great products, great service and great partnerships. 

You’ll take full ownership of a key customer base, leading the commercial interface with major retail partners through strong Buying & Category relationships. You’ll build annual customer account plans, negotiate commercial proposals and contracts, shape JBP activity and identify new opportunities and risks through ongoing market, competitor and customer insight. Collaboration sits at the heart of this business, and you’ll work closely with Marketing, Product, Finance and Supply Chain to create and deliver customer-centric solutions. You’ll also prepare forecasts, analyse performance and report regularly to the Commercial Director while managing budgets and driving continuous improvement. 

We’re looking for a commercially astute operator with proven success driving revenue and building strong customer partnerships. You’ll bring strong negotiation skills, the ability to influence senior stakeholders, a strategic but hands-on approach and the confidence to navigate numbers, forecasts and commercial decision-making. Emotional intelligence, credibility and the ability to work cross-functionally are essential, along with the initiative, tenacity and integrity needed to represent a respected FMCG brand.
