Parker Young is supporting a marketing leading consumer branded business to identify a strong FMCG Brand Marketing specialist for an exciting new Marketing Manager position.

As Marketing Manager you will design, inspire, lead and deliver a compelling strategic marketing plan for a portfolio of iconic and strategically important brands for the organisation.  You will deliver high impact marketing activities, innovations and communications that step change brand performance and consumer relevance.   

You will:

  • Lead the clarification and optimisation of the brand proposition and its execution across all consumer touch points to ensure brand standout, distinctiveness, consistency and linkage to help deliver a disproportionate return on investments.
  • Identify, develop and bring to market the overall NPD strategy and work with innovation managers to deliver a relevant pipeline of innovation to drive incremental revenue and profit.
  • Work hand in glove with category to build compelling and convincing customer and shopper strategies and sell in presentations to help increase brand distribution.
  • Work with cross functional teams to monitor, analyse and react to market and competitor changes including price and promotions to define an optimum commercial strategy.
  • Be accountable for the brand P&Ls. Influence other functions to deliver profitability improvements.
  • Act as a key part of the marketing leadership team stepping up to lead and direct the wider marketing team as required.

Our client requires an FMCG marketing leader with strong and substantial FMCG/food management experience gained in fast paced, demanding marketing environments. You will be someone who thinks differently and creatively and someone who acts with agility to generate innovation ideas which can be commercialised through strong product development and technical understanding, from concept to delivery. You will have strong experience in Insight generation, Comms development, building distinctive brands & propositions, commercial effectiveness and with experience of working closely with Category Management strategies.
