We’re working with an extremely well-known, Blue-chip, FMCG company based in Yorkshire, in search of a Business Development Chef who can ensure the Company’s products continue to outsell competitors in their market.
The Company are excited for a sociable person, who is able to build fruitful relationships with Product Development Managers, to join their company.
To be able to excel in this role an ideal candidate will be organised; able to accurately mark up costs and an appropriate time frame for the projects to be carried out. You’ll play a key role in the business, collaborating with Marketing, Category and Insight teams alike to identify product opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensure a solid understanding of product usage by caterers and then suggest improvements backed up by insights and data
- Liaise with marketing and insights to develop new product ideas and opportunities
- Work with Product Development Managers to create and improve product listings
- Deliver company targets of business development
- Present and communicate new product opportunities to gain commitment from development mangers
An ideal candidate:
- Previous experience in a culinary, development environment
- Good knowledge of manufacturing in the food and drink industry
- Sociable, able to forge relationships
- Understanding of consumer trends
- Commercially minded
- Confident presenter
- Customer focused
