Parker Young is an independent executive recruitment business, based in Leeds. We work with some of the World’s largest, most recognisable brands, some of the most exciting start-ups and many others great companies in between.

Our team is made up of  a combination of recruitment, search, talent acquisition and experienced industry specialists, proud of work we do to find the very best Marketing, Sales, HR and Digital talent across the UK (and sometimes beyond!) for our clients.

Dave Young founded the business in 2016 after cutting his teeth in a global plc before taking up roles in Search, “Interim Exec” and privately owned recruitment businesses, all helping him to develop a clear understanding of what good (and bad) in the industry looked like.

Launching a recruitment business is easy, but growing a values led brand which clients and candidates instantly recognise and respect for its knowledge, user experience and ability to constantly deliver is much harder! We feel we have a process, approach and the people which stand us above the crowd, but yet constantly strive to be better each day.

Job Description

Let’s get straight to the point. We are busy! In fact we’ve never been busier and so we are looking to add another key role into our growing team. When the business was originally launched, we were set up to only offer the classic “360°recruiter” role, but with the support of  an external business consultancy, we rework the way operate, which has created multiple different roles to better play to the skills and wants of  many who could offer lots to our business, without all having to do the same thing.  The latest role on offer is to become our first Resourcer!

As a Resourcer, you will be responsible for finding great candidates for our clients and helping to promote the parker Young in a multitude of ways



  • Identify new and innovative ways to engage with and attract new candidates.
  • Manage responses and applications, ensuring all interested and suitable candidates are contacted.
  • Writing and posting adverts, and monitoring postings on the relative job platforms, ensuring they stay up to date and relevant.
  • Proactively search for candidates using all available recruitment tools.
  • Register and telephone screen potential candidates
  • Using the CRM system daily to update information and communicate to candidates and clients.
  • Support the MD, Head of Research and senior team to manage candidates throughout the recruitment process.  


So who are we looking for and what’s in it for you?

While it would be an advantage to have a background in a customer facing/ sales role, coming from a specific background is much less important than the behaviours you can bring to this role. We need to find someone who loves to talk, but crucially has the ability to listen and retain important information. As you develop, you will need have to turn your knowledge into consultative advice for candidates and colleagues alike. Recruitment is a really great industry to learn about business, sales, marketing, finance (and yourself), but it can be really tough at times. When you are in the grip and you might not see the wood for the trees, do you have the resilience to keep going until you influence a change in your fortunes? Yes, you must be organised and have an excellent attention to detail, but flair and the ability to be memorable will move you from being good to great. We have a hybrid working model and , but we are a social lot and like to be in the office typically 2-3 days a week.
