National Account Manager - Discounters - Home Based

Parker Young is partnering with a privately owned FMCG business, who are going through an exciting period of change and now require and National Account Manager, responsible for their Discount Channel, to further capitalise on the recent growth in the market they have achieved.

Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for executing a commercial strategy in a number of discounter accounts by developing collaborative partnerships  with you channel customers and therefore achieving your commercial targets

Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of annual volume, GSV and margin targets for discount channel customers.
  • Development of channel business plan, aligned to company strategy and objectives
  • Negotiation and execution of JBP’s integrating both customer and business strategies and objectives to deliver profitable growth.
  • Delivery of activities and initiatives to delivery against business and customer strategies and objectives.
  • Delivery of brand activation standards - distribution targets, share of shelf, NPD launches on time to expectations.
  • Proactive management of all key commercial relationships establishing strong collaborative working relationships.

We are looking to speak with existing NAMs or experienced NAEs with at least 12 months experience with managing discount channel accounts within and food or drinks business ideally. You will have strong experience of negotiating joint business plans with customers and a good understanding of/ ability to use data tools and category management principles to deliver mutual beneficial solutions to the business and its customers. You will have a proven ability to influence both external and internal stakeholders to implement new solutions to drive profitable growth and the ability to manage complex relationships to deliver against commercial objectives.
