We are delighted to be able to again offer the opportunity to someone, keen to forge a career in Marketing (whether you have a degree/ background Marketing or not), with a short four-week internship at Parker Young. We will give you an insight into marketing within the recruitment industry, whilst offering you a platform to demonstrate your passion, hunger for/ talent in the role. We will set you a number of objectives to meet and if you meet them, showing what a great asset to the business you are along the way, we will offer you something longer term. Sound interesting?
We are passionate advocates of the notion “you get back what you put in” and it would absolutely apply to this opportunity, so we are looking for a super keen, naturally inquisitive, ambitious individual who wants to grab this opportunity with both hands and show us why we’d be foolish to do anything other than offer you a longer-term gig!
Key tasks:
An ideal Candidate
Our previous Marketing intern was promoted and became our Marketing Executive. Here’s what she had to say about her time with us:
“I joined the business as a Marketing intern, working a few days a week for one month in 2018 before being offered the Marketing Executive position. I joined the business with a very limited amount of marketing experience and so the opportunity was enormously useful to learn new marketing tools and gain in confidence before taking on the responsibility of a paid role. I’ve increased my knowledge and skills in Marketing ten-fold since joining the business.”
“There has always been plenty of freedom for creative flair and with no red tape, there is lots of opportunity to trial innovative content ideas provided you always keep the brand voice and company values in mind. I’ve learned and utilised software such as Canva, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, MailChimp, Facebook Ad Manager/ Facebook Pixel, all of which were new to me upon starting my internship. Working in a small team means you are viewed as an individual, not a number and are thus provided plenty of support. There is also allowance for you to take time for any training you feel would help you grow as a marketer. The opportunity was great to learn about both Marketing and Recruitment and achieved the ultimate goal of an internship, which is, of course, to find a permanent position.”
