Parker Young is delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing search engine marketing agency, on the hunt for a superb business development professional for their newly created Head of Sales position.

Our client is a business which focuses on delivering great customer service and the right online marketing solutions, tailored specifically for their clients. Over the past few years, they have developed a strong reputation for supporting ecommerce organisations across a range of sectors including travel, retail and automotive, achieve sales growth through developing strong SEO, PPC, Digital PR and Conversion Rate Optimisation strategies.

They have now grown to a size where the Founding partners, require an out and out new business hunter to grab the opportunity to identify and convert multiple leads for the business.

The Head of sales will

  • Identify and qualify real value opportunities
  • Identify key decision-making, influential stakeholders and build positive and persuasive relationships
  • Develop, build and grow new client relationships
  • Understand prospective clients’ requirements and confidently demonstrate the added value
  • Build trust, credibility and client referrals
  • Translate client business goals into digital strategy
  • Proposal research and creation
  • Attend exhibitions and networking opportunities
  • Tender sourcing and writing
  • Manage marketing strategy, collateral and content generation
  • Present your business on a weekly basis

We are primarily looking for a strong new business specialist with demonstrable experience of identifying strong client leads from businesses who typically have an annual digital spend of £500,000 or more. You must have previously worked in a digital marketing business/ agency previously.

You also need:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Track record of new business development
  • Drive and ambition
  • A proactive and positive attitude
  • Thorough understanding of all aspects of marketing, especially digital
  • Good understanding of branding, design, website development and marketing processes
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics is desirable
