rascal has recently established an exciting new strategic partnership with a leading retail solutions and data management firm in the U.S. This partnership will enable rascal to bring some yet to be seen, game-changing technology to the UK market which has already been developed, proven and established in the US for a number of years. This new to the UK market product suite gives retailers a realistic opportunity to deliver genuine cost base transformation through superior master data management. This in turn means that numerous existing processes can be removed, simplified or sped up. There is even the ability to turn the traditional commercial trading model on its head in a way that can deliver real benefit for both the retailer and their suppliers. The business is therefore recruiting some key positions to support this exciting period of change.

Parker Young are delighted to have been retained by rascal, to search for a Head of Sales.

As Head of Sales, you will be responsible for prospecting and generating commercially viable leads with C-Level executives across the grocery retail market, managing the sales conversation to from prospect to commercial agreement.

 

You will:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities throughout the UK/ EMEA region, with new to rascal clients.
  • Demonstrate commercial agility and acuity for effectively articulating the product’s value proposition and diagnosing the prospective customers business needs.
  • Manage complex sales, of large deal sizes, across matrix and complex business environments.
  • Production of proposals, including pricing and commercial structure and accompanying information.
  • Ensure high quality of data within CRM and other systems

 

Required experience

  • Extensive B2B sales/ new business development experience, including managing commercial negotiations within a grocery retail client base across the C-Level.
  • Proven P&L responsibility and track record of meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial goals.
  • Skills in new business forecasting and identifying challenges to a positive commercial outcome.
  • Ability to establish rapport and deliver compelling, persuasive propositions to an executive level audience.
  • Ability to navigate commercial discussions across large retail organisations and matrix environments.
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong ethic for identifying opportunities and a keen interest in forming relationships with executives.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness for UK-wide travel as required.
