Parker Young is delighted to be partnering with a well- known European FMCG brand, to identify a Head of Brand in a newly created structure in the Marketing team, based at their Northern HQ.

As Head of Brand, you will lead the marketing team and have responsibility for the brand, trade and shopper strategy. You will be tasked with strengthening the focus on and influence of Marketing within the business, to ensure marketing and the company’s brands are at the heart of commercial and growth strategy.

Key responsibilities:

  • Delivery of agreed brand KPIs – both Commercial and agreed consumer facing metrics, ensuring actions are in place to maximise return and minimise risk
  • Develop, agree and take ownership for the 3 year brand strategy overall and 1 year brand plans  
  • Be the creator of and guardian for the brand positioning for each brand – also including tone of voice and brand guidelines
  • Ensure consumer and category insight is at the heart of all aspects of brand development.
  • Develop and deliver 360 degree Comms plans for each brand
  • Agency management
  • Lead the development of the brand innovation
  • Leading the newly structured Marketing team
  • Management of the Marketing budget
  • Work closely with senior Sales team to ensure the brand plans are translated into channel / customer strategy.
  • Champions the brands and marketing function within the business.

This is a brilliant role and we are looking to speak to proven FMCG Brand Marketing leaders, who have demonstrable evidence of leading a marketing team to success, while developing marketing led commercial strategies, through fully integrated ATL, BTL and digital campaigns. You must have experience of either working for a Brand leader of a challenger brand who has achieved penetration into its category.

Our client requires a strong team leader, who is engaging and has strong influencing skills, internal and externally. You will be curious, creative, decisive, resilient and organised, with excellent analytical and planning skills. You will be a good listener and team player and have a desire from the outset to make a difference.
