Parker Young supported a rapidly growing, privately owned FMCG business, based in Yorkshire to find an Ecommerce leader, tasked with implementing a growth strategy into the direct to consumer channel. After a period of sustained growth and success, along with the appointment of other key members of the team, our client now requires an Ecommerce Systems Engineer, responsible for the following:
- Configuring and managing various e-commerce systems to enable continual smooth operation and sales, including but not limited to: Shopify Ecommerce system, shipping courier integrations and picking/packing/warehouse systems
- To work with customer services and ops teams to assist in changes or looking up information relating to customer orders or subscriptions
- To Carry out updates to the Ecommerce catalogue and feeds including adding new products, configuring product bundles, setting up discount codes and promotions
- To make changes/updates to our websites including changing banners, promotional text, customer notices, emails etc.
- To implement new website features along with making improvements to existing website features utilising various apps on the Shopify platform, APIs and our integrated technologies
- To closely monitor, test, diagnose, fault-find and fix issues, using our websites or associated systems to ensure continued smooth operation for all customers
- To work with the Head of Digital to produce reports, working with data from various systems to analyse sales performance and trends
We would like to talk to candidates with strong knowledge of frontend and backend web development e.g. HTML5 / JavaScript / CSS / PHP. While this isn’t a full-time development role, you will be required to make tweaks and introduce new features using these technologies. You will also ideally have experience working with relational databases such as MySQL
Do you have:
- Experience working with, configuring and integrating e-commerce systems and knowledge of the end to end processes?
- Experience working with Shopify, ReCharge, Brightpearl and Shiptheory?
- Experience in a fast paced e-commerce/digital – ideally in FMCG direct to consumer or retail?
- An entrepreneurial and experimental mindset?
- Excellent communication skills?
