INSIGHT DIRECTOR  

 

Parker Young is delighted to be working with a true World leader in their field who, on the back of an exciting business win, have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Customer Insight Specialist in the shape of an Insight Director position.

As an Insight Director you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Insight Director in the development & execution of strategy for your customer, along with the support of the wider insight team. You will have the opportunity to work in close collaboration with your retail client agency partners, creating a long-term, solution-focused consultative partnership.  

 

 

Main Responsibilities: 

 

  • Translation of client business objectives to key stakeholders 

  • Development of an account plan 

  • Delivery of strategic insight to improve customer metrics and business performance 

  • Engagement/Relationship at stakeholder level. Delivering inspiring briefs and presentations 

  • Tactical delivery 

  • Data interpretation: presenting in a way to make the complex simple with a story and key messages. 

  • Management of operational delivery 

  • Coaching and mentoring to enhance team performance. Development of skills and capabilities related to customer insight capabilities. 

  • Implementation of our people standards and the way that we work 

 

Who we are looking for: 

  • Proven experience within FMCG, Retail or related B2C industry experience 

  • Customer insight ideally, but other experience using actionable-insight to drive performance is also desirable. 

  • Consults with clients to influence and challenge thinking to drive business agenda via great customer work.  

  • Curious to learn more. Strong at identifying opportunities 

  • Demonstrated planning, leadership, communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills 

  • Demonstrated breadth of industry knowledge and relates key trends to impact on clients 

  • Demonstrated expertise in translating data and analysis into relevant implications.  

  • Data manipulation, A/B Analysis and visualisation (using statistical packages such as Tableau, Q, SPSS) 

  • Strong analytic skills ideally with experience of using Dunnhumby, AIMIA or Kantar tools 

  • Ability to develop creative ways to address customer and business issues. A self-starter, keen to learn new approaches and techniques 

  • Ability to inspire commitment and excellence and drive for results 

  • Commercial and financial management with an understanding of P & L and margin management 

  • Ability to influence internal stakeholders and generate engaging concepts
