Compliance Officer - Yorkshire

We are looking for someone to join an FMCG organisation who have seen some impressive growth over the past number of years and who, despite of their size, are still recording impressive levels of growth. To support further development, they are in need of a Compliance Officer.

As Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for delivering Company wide compliance regulation, playing a key role in ensuring the Company’s practices run in conjunction with external regulation and legislation, as well as analysing and developing practices to help the company continue to be an ethical and unified place to work.

What the role involves:

  • Create monitoring systems to ensure practices run throughout the entire framework of the Company so that it can operate as a single unit with clear understanding and adherence to regulations
  • Review organisational practices
  • Responsible for risk analysis and for implementing a relevant risk framework
  • Support colleagues and offer training to ensure everyone understands regulations
  • Investigate non-compliant events, working collaboratively with others to identify potential problems and solutions
  • Protect Company assets by ensuring controls are relevant and adhered to
  • Review and update procedures when necessary

An ideal candidate:

  • A great communicator
  • Strong desire to ensure businesses are run ethically and properly
  • Clear understanding of regulatory and legislative policy
  • Keen understanding of risk management (within the FMCG sector is preferable)
