Our Client, a manufacturer of market leading branded products, many of which are household names, is looking for a Business Insight Analyst to join the BI team during a period of significant growth for the business.

As Business Insight Analyst, you will provide accurate and timely reporting and analysis using a variety of internal and external data sources (prescription data, IRI, Kantar, etc) to support the sales and marketing teams across all divisions. You will support the BIM in providing insights, ensuring that the business is measuring its overall performance accurately at a brand level as well as at a customer level.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide regular and ad hoc reports to the sales and marketing teams to drive competitive advantage and help with strategic decision making. This includes but is not limited to;
    • Update monthly market share reports for all of our key brands and key markets
    • Producing monthly category analysis for the consumer marketing team showing trends and month on month performance
    • Update the monthly business performance report for the sales and marketing meeting
    • Produce weekly EPOS sales, value, volume & distribution reports at brand, sku and customer level and look for trends in the data
    • Produce and update NPD trackers
    • Update and analyse weekly territory sales and call frequency to support sales managers measure the efficiency of the sales team.
  • Database maintenance - Ensure all our market insight databases are accurately maintained and updated in a timely manner. Resolve any areas of conflict and manage all data reconciliation between agencies to reach a satisfactory conclusion. Be the main point of contact for any queries.
  • Provide analysis to support the business insight manager in delivering category management objectives for the key accounts. Provide data to support with range reviews and merchandising, gaining listings of NPD and increasing our distribution.
  • Provide proactive and high-quality support for ad hoc requests from sales and marketing

We are looking for a candidate with advanced data analysis skills; these ideally will have been gained in a similar role, but someone strong transferable data analysis skills would be of interest. Good communication skills are extremely important given the large element of internal stakeholder involvement. You will be self motivated, results focused, with the ability to problem solve and excellent attention to detail. You must have advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
